Subject: WARNING from Morris County Prosecutor’s Office
We have recently been encountering a large number of home invasions where the perpetrators have been posing as flower delivery people. In each case, a black male or males have been ringing doorbells with flowers in hand. Once the door is opened by the female victims, they have been brutally assaulting them and tying them up. We have open cases in Morris, Sussex and Bergen with the same M.O. If you encounter a flower delivery person DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. Ask them to leave the flowers or tell them you will not accept the delivery. Ask them through the door, what company they are from and what the number is and call the company to confirm. If you suspect anything suspicious, call the police.
