It’s that time of year again and we are on the eve of the NYC Avon 40 Mile Walk for Breast Cancer. This is one of 9 Avon walks around the country along with multiple others that all have the same purpose – To help end Breast Cancer.
We participated last year for the first time by walking the 40 miles and this year we have signed up as volunteers to help with such an important event. It’s amazing to see so many people come together to help one another and ultimately work towards the goal to end Breast Cancer.
It’s up to all of us to get out there and participate in causes like these which help us realize that we all should be grateful for the ability to get out of bed in the morning and start the day. This is something that none of us should take for granted.
Each one of us can make a difference and I challenge you tomorrow morning to sign up for a cause that’s close to your heart and pledge that you’re going to volunteer/participate/donate so that you can help make a difference in this world and even more importantly, make a difference in someone’s life….
Now off to bed because 3:15AM comes very early to get us into the city for the opening ceremony tomorrow morning….
